9/15/14 - there has been an increasing issue with students "losing" their reading logs and not turning one in on the monday they are due. At the beginning of the year, students were told that if logs are lost, it is absolutely fine to just write it on a piece of paper and have that paper signed. this is still ok! Reading logs are the only required "homework" for the kids. Practicing reading at home is the key to becoming a better reader. Reading logs help students to keep track of their reading. It's not a punishment. It's a helpful tool to grow as learners. Please make sure that all reading logs are turned in on monday of the following week. Below is a document you may download to have extras at home in case the reading log comes up missing.
8/29/14 - students have new spelling lists in their planners. pretest will be on tuesday. reading logs due on tuesday as well. if not turned, students recieve a fine.
8/25/14 - Reading logs are being sent home today. we will start with just 60 minutes throughout the week. All reading logs are due on the Monday (or first day) of the next week!
8/25/14 - Spelling lists sent home today! practice, practice, PRACTICE!
